I have not heard about Host So before, but I currently use Just Host which i found from a hosting comparison site. They compare the top web hosting companies in the business.

Sounds like a really new web hosting company. I've used omnis.com/ for a few years. Good service. They have been around for over a decade. So I trust their longevity.

Check for Uptime, The Space needed for your Website, Bandwidth and how many websites can be hosting on a single Hosting Account. Now most of the hosting comes with pre installed apps like Joomla, WordPress etc. that helps a lot to start a website/ blog fast.

I have never heard of them either. I would recommend trying to contact their support team to see how quickly they get back to you. That may give you an idea on the level of service you will be getting from them.
